Chairmans Report

Dear Members,
Unfortunately our speaker for February Jenny Birch who was going to give us a presentation on flower arranging went down with the flu and gave back word to us that she had to cancel, we wish her a speedy recovery and will try to book her up later in the year.

We were very fortunate in booking Mr Rob Canis up at very short notice Rob came along and gave us a slide show and talk about wild life and plants from around the world and through the seasons, many thanks to him for a very interesting evening.

Judy made an announcement that Pat Costen was prepared to stand in as our Chairman until we hold our AGM in April, this went down very well with all of the members. I would like to take this opportunity and thank you all for your supporting me as the new Chairman.

Pat and Judy then handed out a Four Star Murder Mystery Weekend leaflet to take place in August at the cost of £114 per person; any body interested please contact Judy.

The Menu’s for our annual meal on March the 26th were handed out, please complete and return your forms (if you haven’t already) to Judy ASP, thank you.

Well onto our March 9th meeting we will be holding an Easter Bonnet and Easter Cake Competition followed by a Block Buster Quiz, please come along and support this evening it was very successful last year.

The committee held a meeting on Feb 4th outings were discussed and it was suggested to have an evening at Doddington Place Gardens, followed by a drink and buffet at the Chequers in May. (More information to follow).
At our next meeting we will need to order and pay for the Fish and Chip supper for the AGM.
