Join
us and have a whale of a time! Well not quite whales but we do have monthly
beach fishing competitions where various species that can be expected
for the region are caught. Venues are selected around Kent with transport
arrangements left to the individual, Most competitions are on Sundays
during daylight hours, but two are usually arranged on a Saturday afternoon/evening.
Cost
to members for each competition is £5.00 and £10.00 for
guests; all the entry fees are paid back as 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize money.
Competitions are marshalled and undersize fish are recorded and returned
to the water, sizeable fish are taken or returned as decided by the angler
after the weigh-in.
The
year ends with a Presentation Evening where trophies are presented to
the Overall Champion, Junior Champion and 2nd and 3rd places in both categories,
plus various specimen trophies.
Membership fees for 2007 season are Adults - £5.00
O.A.P's - FREE Children - Free.
To
take part in the activities of the section, seniors must have membership
of Woodcoombe Sports
& Social Club
